The objective of the 'Theft Reports of Agricultural and
Construction Equipment' program is to quickly inform all
participants of suspicious activities and crime in your
neighborhood, farming community or construction sites.
If you are an agriculture producer, livestock owner, farmers
cooperative, implement dealer, construction business or insurance
company and would like to register for the program, you can
register here online. If you have questions contact the Johnson County Sheriff's Office
Investigations Division at (913) 715-5561 or email
trace@jocogov.org.
Once an individual or business has been put on the distribution
list they will be able to receive emails from T.R.A.C.E. Anyone
can send information to trace@jocogov.org but will not
receive information until registered.
If you have an emergency or need to report a theft, call 911 and report
it to your local law enforcement agency.
The next step will then be to
submit an activity report, giving a detailed description of what
was taken; color, brand, year, identifying marks and other descriptive information.
If you are reporting a suspicious character, describe all
individuals involved, any vehicle information and what the
suspects were doing that caught your attention and their
direction of travel.
Once registered, information such as a participants telephone
number, street address and email address or other personal
information will not be released to anyone outside the Sheriff's
Office or any participating Law Enforcement Agency, without their
written consent.
