Sheriff's Emergency Response Team

The Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team’s purpose is to increase the likelihood of safely resolving situations, high risk in nature, which exceed the capabilities of traditional law enforcement first responders and/or investigative units. Incidents which meet these criteria may include, but are not limited to:

  • Barricaded Suspects
  • Crowd Control
  • High Risk Cell Extractions and Disturbance
  • High Risk Search Warrants
  • Hostage Situations
  • Personal Dignitary Protection

The Sheriff's Emergency Response Team's positions include crisis negotiators, logistics personnel, operators and snipers.
