Sheriff’s Deputy Charged with Aggravated Battery

Olathe, Kan. - Criminal charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, child endangerment and battery were filed today against Johnson County Sheriff's Deputy Erin Rogers.

The incidents were alleged to have occurred over a period of time and reported to deputies on January 23. Immediately following the allegations Rogers was placed on administrative leave, and a criminal investigation was initiated as well as a Professional Standards inquiry.

The incident occurred while Rogers was off duty and did not involve any members of the public. Any inquiries about this case can be directed to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office at 913-715-3000.
