Johnson County Inmate Death

New Century, Kan. – Johnson County Inmate John Hodges was booked into the Johnson County New Century Adult Detention Center on Sept. 19, 2012 on charges of Murder and Identity Theft stemming from an incident which occurred earlier that month in the City of Overland Park.

Today, May 6 at approximately 12:00 p.m. deputies discovered an unresponsive Hodges in his cell. Jail medical staff and Med-Act conducted life saving measures however, Hodges succumbed to injuries.

Hodges death is being investigated as a suicide at this time however the investigation into his death is on-going.
