Shooters Wanted! For the Sheriff’s Office Shoot Out for Special Olympics

Johnson County, Kan. – For the first time in Johnson County Sheriff’s Office history, the public is invited to a friendly shooting challenge with Johnson County deputies and police officers from local agencies. Anyone who has ever wanted to compete against some of the best local law enforcement officers in a shooting competition finally has their chance, and it is all for a great cause!

April 12, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office will host a shooting competition to support Special Olympics Kansas. Anyone who thinks they have what it takes, can sign-up to take on some of the best shooters law enforcement has to offer!

The event will be held at the Millcreek Rifle Club at 7215 Gardner Road in De Soto from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be prizes and lunch provided.

Interested participants can register through the Kansas Special Olympics website Registrations are limited to the first 250 registrants.
