Olathe, Kan. – Do you have old medicine in your home? Want to get rid of it? The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Price Chopper and Hen House Markets have just the place for you! April 26 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. residents can drop off unused, unneeded or expired prescription medication at several locations throughout Johnson County. These locations are part of a cooperative effort between the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, DEA, local police departments, Price Chopper and Hen House Markets.

In addition, in partnership with the Regional Prevention Center, The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has a permanent Prescription Drug Take Back Drop Box location at the Courthouse, 125 N. Cherry, Olathe. This location is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Sheriff Frank Denning said, "The abuse of prescription drugs continues to be of great concern to the Johnson County community. The Drug Take Back program and our partnership with Price Chopper and Hen House Markets provide a safe and simple way for the community to help us fight prescription drug abuse”

Tablets, capsules, and all other solid dosage forms will be collected at all locations.

Hen House Location:

13600 Blackbob Rd, Olathe
