The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office was establish in 1861 and has grown from a one man office to a highly skilled and advanced law enforcement agency.

The Sheriff’s Office is the fastest growing law enforcement agency in Johnson County and is presently comprised of more than 500 sworn officers and a support staff of approximately 150 employees.

With a full range of public safety duties, the Sheriff’s Office provides the highest level of law enforcement services to the citizens of Johnson County.

Directions to our location:

  1. Take I-35 South to exit 210, which is the Gardner, Kansas exit
  2. Go West to Moonlight Road, which is the third stop light
  3. Go North (right) to 159th Street
  4. Go East (right) 1 block, the entrance to the facility is plainly marked "FRED ALLENBRAND CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMPLEX"
  5. Make a right turn into the facility, Personnel Division is on the second floor of the Sheriff’s Operation Building (smaller building)
