Human Skull Found In Rural Johnson County

Johnson County, KAN – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will resume their search for any evidence related to the human skull found yesterday in rural Johnson County. A team of Deputies will conduct a grid search looking for any items that might lead to a positive identification.

The Sheriff’s Office will be conducting media briefings at the Sheriff’s Office Operations Building at 27747 West 159th north of Gardner, Kansas. The first media briefing will be at 11:30am.

Johnson County, KAN – At 3:30pm the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office received a call from hunters in rural Johnson County. As the hunters were combing an area west of Gardner, Kansas, they discovered a human skull.

The investigation continues to determine who this may be and how the remains got to the area.
