Visitation Rules

|
Visits are subject to recording and surveillance. |
|
1.
|
All visitors will present proper photo identification before being authorized to
visit. Proper photo identification is a US Government identification card.
This can be a State issued driver’s license, I.D., or an appropriately documented
Passport.

2. |
All visitors must be 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
with documentation proving such guardianship. |

3. |
An Inmate will be allowed TWO people per visitation time. A child 5 yrs or
younger will be considered a lap child and will not count as one visitor.
However, only one lap child will be permitted per visitation. Any remaining
children regardless of age will count as one of the two visitors. Children
cannot be left un-attended.
- Example 1: Parent with a 7 year old and 4 year old - ALL VISIT.
- Example 2: Parent with a 7 year old and a 6 year old - VISIT DENIED.

The splitting of a visitation is not allowed. However, the two visitors do
not have to arrive at the same time.
- Example 1: One person arrives. The Visitor goes up to visit. Later
in the visit another visitor arrives. The second visitor would be allowed
to visit.
- Example 2: If there are two visitors already visiting and one leaves another visitor
would not be allowed to visit.

All visitors will secure packages, purses, bags, cell phones, etc. in the lockers
provided. |
|
6. |
All visitors will be required to pass through a metal detector.
|
|
7. |
Food, drink and smoking are prohibited in the visitation area. |
|
8. |
After the visit, all visitors will: return to the lobby, return their pass, and
obtain their identification. |
|
9. |
All visitors who leave property in a locker must retrieve the property prior to
leaving the detention center. |
|
10. |
A visit may be denied, suspended or terminated if:
- The visitor is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- There is insufficient space available at the time of the visit
- The visitor refuses to submit to a search
- The visitor does not have proper identification
- The visitor fails to prevent children from disturbing others
- The visitor intentionally damages county property
- The visitor violates posted Detention Center rules

Absolutely no materials will be given to the inmates unless authorized by a shift
sergeant in writing prior to visitation |
|
|
|
|
|
Trafficking contraband into a penal institution is a level 6 non-person felony
|
|
|
