COVID-19 Update

At the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, people are our most important asset. We place a premium on the health and wellbeing of our staff as well as the community we serve. In order to help minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office has suspended fingerprint services until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Fingerprinting for employment or other purposes (other than offender registration) can be completed at the following location:

Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Except Holidays

Our fees are as follows:

Johnson County Residents - No charge for the first set of 2, $2.00 for each additional set

Non Johnson County Residents - $10.00 for the first set of 2, $2.00 for each additional set

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, money orders or personal checks.

 Please note the following: 

  • Due to high demand, we require an appointment.
  • Appointments require a 24 hour advance notice. 
  • Only one person is allowed to sign up for each 15 minute time slot.  
  • If you know in advance that you can not make your scheduled appointment time, please cancel online or call 913-715-5511. 

To obtain fingerprints, you must bring photo identification.  Please review the list of approved identification.
