COVID-19 Update

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office has resumed our fingerprint services and will be done by appointment only.  Our staff is utilizing protective measures and we encourage you to do the same.  To be in compliance with Governor Kelly's orders, you will be required to wear a mask upon entering our building, effective immediately.  Please limit the number of people who accompany you to this appointment, as we have a very small waiting area.  If you or someone accompanying you is experiencing any symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.

Fingerprinting for employment or other purposes (other than offender registration) can be completed at the following location:

Appointments are available Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, except holidays

Our fees are as follows:

Johnson County Residents - No charge for the first set of 2, $2.00 for each additional set

Non Johnson County Residents - $10.00 for the first set of 2, $2.00 for each additional set

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, money orders or personal checks.  The exact amount is necessary, as we are not able to make change.

 Please note the following: 

  • Due to high demand, we require an appointment.
  • Appointments require a 24 hour advance notice. 
  • Only one person is allowed to sign up for each 15 minute time slot.  
  • If you know in advance that you can not make your scheduled appointment time, please cancel online or call 913-715-5511. 

To obtain fingerprints, you must bring photo identification.  Please review the list of approved identification.
