Motor Vehicles Registration

The Johnson County Sheriffs Office Vehicle Registration Enforcement Unit fields complaints from citizens and law enforcement agencies regarding vehicle registration. When complaints or concerns are received, the complaint is researched and investigated. The officers and staff assigned to this unit will develop the case and will usually follow-up with field work.  

At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies may get the complaint resolved by having the owner properly register the vehicle or issue a citation to gain compliance according to state statute.
